| Ingredient | Amount | % DV% Daily Value - how much of the recommended daily intake one serving provides, based on a 2,000 calorie diet. 100% = full daily need. Values over 100% are common for water-soluble vitamins (B, C) and generally safe. Values over 200% are highlighted. |

This score evaluates label quality - dosage disclosure, transparency, cleanliness of inactive ingredients, and formula composition. It does not measure clinical efficacy, bioavailability, or third-party testing. Read full methodology
Products with overlapping ingredients and a higher SupplementScore. Based on dosage transparency, label cleanliness, and formula quality.
Alternatives share ingredients with this product (or come from its category, Heart Health) and have a higher overall score. This is not a recommendation - always verify ingredients and dosages match your needs.
The research summaries below are about the ingredients in general, drawn from published studies that often use different doses, forms, and populations than this product. A "strong" evidence rating for an ingredient does not mean this product will produce that effect - studied doses may be significantly higher or lower than what is contained here. Always verify doses against the Supplement Facts table above.
Vitamin E is the main fat-soluble antioxidant in cell membranes; deficiency, which is rare, causes nerve and muscle damage. Large trials found that supplements did not prevent heart disease or cancer.
Mostly studied as a cream. Taken by mouth with vitamin C, it slightly reduced sunburn in small, short studies.
The body turns it into NAD and NADP, coenzymes in hundreds of reactions. Deficiency causes pellagra. Extra B3 does not raise energy in people who get enough.
At 1,500-3,000 mg a day, nicotinic acid raises HDL and lowers triglycerides, but large trials (AIM-HIGH, HPS2-THRIVE) found no fewer heart attacks when it was added to statins, and more side effects. Doses this high need a doctor; typical supplements are far lower.

Biotin is a cofactor for enzymes that make glucose and fatty acids and break down amino acids. Deficiency, which is rare, causes hair loss and a scaly rash.
Helps only when there is a biotin deficiency, which is rare. There is no good evidence it improves hair or nails in healthy people.
In people with heart failure, 300 mg a day added to usual treatment reduced major heart events in the Q-SYMBIO trial, and meta-analyses point the same way. There is little evidence in healthy people.
Trials are mixed: some meta-analyses found less muscle pain, others found no difference from placebo.
A few small trials of 100-300 mg a day found fewer migraines; headache guidelines rate it possibly effective.
2-4 g a day of EPA and DHA lowers triglycerides by about 20-30%; prescription omega-3s are approved for this. Most supplements give much less per capsule.
Large trials of about 1 g a day (VITAL, ASCEND) found no clear drop in major heart events in the general population. 4 g a day of purified EPA lowered events in high-risk patients on statins (REDUCE-IT), which is not the same as fish oil.
At about 3 g a day of EPA and DHA, fish oil modestly reduced joint pain and stiffness in rheumatoid arthritis trials. Effects on osteoarthritis are unclear.
A Cochrane review found omega-3 in pregnancy, often 500-1,000 mg DHA a day, lowered the risk of birth before 34 weeks.
DHA is a major fat in the brain and retina, but trials in healthy older adults have mostly not shown better memory or slower decline.
Thiamin is a cofactor for the enzymes that turn carbohydrates into energy. Deficiency causes beriberi and Wernicke encephalopathy, which thiamin treats. Extra thiamin does not raise energy in people who get enough.

Vitamin D is needed to absorb calcium. Deficiency causes rickets in children and osteomalacia in adults. In adults who are not deficient, large trials such as VITAL found supplements did not reduce fractures.
A 2021 meta-analysis of over 40 trials found daily vitamin D slightly lowered the chance of respiratory infections, mostly in people with low levels. Large monthly or yearly doses did not help.
Low vitamin D is linked to depression, but trials such as VITAL-DEP found supplements did not prevent depression or improve mood in people without deficiency.
